Best skincare products for clear, glowing skin.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well! I thought I would do a slightly different blog post for you guys as I’ve been really into my skincare lately with lockdown giving me the time to focus on myself more.

So I thought I would share with you some skincare products I have been using that have really improved my skin even starting with the best make-up remover!

Makeup remover:

Before you start your skincare routine you, of course, have to take off your makeup (if you were wearing any that is)

I use Garnier’s mineral water to remove my makeup, it’s gentle on my skin and I put a few drops on a cotton pad and it wipes your makeup off so easily. I always found that makeup wipes were so harsh on my skin as I have quite sensitive skin and would cause me to get redness all over my face.

If you don’t like using standard makeup wipes then I highly recommend Garnier’s mineral water!

Exfoliators:

Before lockdown, I never really exfoliated my skin but I found that it helps so much with helping to clear your skin and give you a lovely glow!

I use the Bodyshop’s vitamin C exfoliator. Not only does it help to clear my skin but the vitamin c helps to brighten skin and reduces redness (which if you have a lot of like me, I really would recommend!)

Other great exfoliators:

  • Kiehl’s clearly corrective brightening and exfoliating daily cleanser
  • Clinique exfoliating scrub
  • Mario Badescu almond and honey non-abrasive face scrub
  • The body shop tea tree scrub

Moisturisers:

I have dry skin around my nose and forehead so decided to get the revolution SPF moisturiser and it has really helped!

My top tip when choosing a moisturiser is to get one that has SPF in it as this reduces ageing and damage to the skin, even if you are inside and it’s not sunny it really does help as screens can contribute!

For a better makeup application use moisturiser after exfoliating and before applying your base makeup.

Some other top-rated moisturisers:

  • The ordinary natural moisturising factors
  • The body shop vitamin C glow-boosting moisturiser
  • Clinique moisture surge replenishing moisturiser
  • Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream

Face masks:

Face masks have always been my go-to when it comes to skincare, I used to only put a face mask on once a week and nothing else and think that my skin should clear up but that isn’t the case!

Use a face mask twice a week along with your everyday skincare routine for best results. I use revolutions pink clay mask which really helps to remove any nasties off of my face whilst clearing my skin and making it super soft!

Some other top-rated face masks for clearer skin:

  • Loreal clay masks
  • The body shop Tea tree skin clearing face mask
  • Pixi glow mud mask
  • Glamglow super mud mask

Face wash:

Washing my face is the last thing I do before I go to bed every day, I just don’t feel right without doing this and I have found my absolute favourite face wash that really reduces my redness and shrinks any spots that appear on my face and this is the body shops tea tree foam face wash!

If you want an affordable and effective face wash to help clear your skin then I highly recommend! I use it every night and it helps to keep my skin smooth and clear whilst also smelling great!

Other top-rated face washes for clear skin:

  • Neutrogena Acne fighting face wash
  • Tea tree face wash
  • Simple micellar cleansing water

Eye cream:

I started using eye cream only in the last month as I noticed my dark circles were getting worse so i purchased the body shops vitamin E eye cream. This eye cream is for those who are young and want to reduce the appearance of dark circles so I thought this was perfect. I use it every morning and every night and I have to say I have seen a slight improvement!

Other top-rated eye creams:

  • Olay eye creams
  • Clinique all about eyes eye cream
  • Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff.

Finally, make sure you include night cream into your skincare routine!

Now I don’t use night cream but I hear if you have dry, dull skin then this really helps to brighten and hydrate your face!

Most talked about night creams:

  • Kiehls midnight recovery concentrate
  • The body shop vitamin E night cream
  • Mario Badescu elasto collagen night cream

They always say great skincare helps to make the base for great makeup and it really is true! To finish off put a bit of highlighter or shimmering face mist and your good to glow!

See what i did there 😉

Have a great weekend!

All love
